The Stephen Miller wing wants to create a lily-white ethno-nationalist herrenvolk society. Those who want a compliant source of cheap labor find plenty of common ground there.

I would say not really—a unified working class is a threat to the bosses, after alll. Be well, B.

Miller's terror attacks on immigrant laborers do isolate them (or at least are intended to) and make them fearful to speak out. At the limit, though, of course you're right -- if Miller were to succeed, the resulting labor pool would likely be more unified.

Meant to add that the current status -- terror in the streets -- serves the interests of both the racial purists and the cheap labor crowd.

So without birthright citizenship, whatever political party has power can then determine citizenship.

If SCOTUS sides with Trump, then when Ds have a chance, they can strip Alito, Thomas and other nutters of citizenship.

Re: The administration’s ICE policies are not about jobs-for-Americans or border-control. They are, rather, about creating a second-class citizen serf population that can be underpaid, ignored, and threatened with deportation at any moment—even when its members are American citizens by any sane reading of the 14th Amendment.

Is this Bibi's policy towards the Muslim and Christian communities in Israel???

Naah. Bibi wants them out of there—he may agree that the Palestinians have always gotten a rough deal, but he thinks they should apply for recompense to those now living in the historical Jewish Quarters of Marrakesh, Cairo, Damascus, Baghdad, and Tehran.

We are not only depriving marginal workers from agency in their working lives. We are keeping marginalized people out of the political system by creating obstacles to voting which are trivial to most of us, but monumental to those with no permanent residence, few possessions, and little in the way of an official paper trail. These obstacles also stand in the way of access to other public services.
