This reflexive both-sidesing is exasperating. Just stop it already. Trump does not want to help American workers, he wants to cut rich people's taxes on the backs of workers. RFKjr does not want to improve your health by persuading you to eat more healthily, he wants you to be sick so he can make more money selling you quack remedies and suing genuine pharmaceutical companies. Charlie Kirk did not "practice politics the right way", he relentlessly pursued his personal interests at the expense of American society. And Bessant does not want "to take credit risk for the sake of mitigating balance of payments crises", he wants to subsidize Argentina at America's expense because of political affinity.

I would really like pundits to stop making the same mistake over and over. And while they're at it, maybe cut down on the new mistakes too.

Argentina is not facing "risk." The currency is overvalued and needs to be adjusted. That it woud not be politically popular is not the US's problem.
