Some thoughts

1. When a trillion dollar valuation can be generated by reasoning like this, financial capitalism is done for.

2. Market expectations of cash generated by data centers are only marginally more realistic than those generated by hype about humanoid robots.

3. As with the atomic bomb, the secret of LLMs isn't hyperscaling, it was that it can be done at all. With that knowledge, replication is cheap and easy.

Any observation about the world today that doesn’t account for this is doomed to irrelevance:

“Musk’s (much smaller) wealth surge makes much less sense in a rational world, and whether it “makes sense” in the irrational world we live in is a deep philosophical conundrum”
