Proper mental hygiene is essential if you are to be a useful part of humanity-as-an-anthology-intelligence over the next four years. Start now! Remember: Ukraine has never been in any sense...
Fact checking is good and noble work, and I salute Daniel Dale for his indefatigable efforts.
I wonder, though, how many people are truly unaware that Ukraine has thanked America for its help; some of the occasions were extremely public. Trump's accusation strikes me as telling an obvious bald-faced lie as a dominance display. That would be consistent with the rest of the show, which was quite obviously an ambush planned to humiliate Zelenskyy on TV (why else have Vance there?) I think that many if not most people who accept the lie are willing accomplices.
Those senators who parrotted Trump's and Vance's (Russian disinformation?) lies were obvious accomplices. The Ukraine problem and the theatrics with Zenlenskyy are just a part of Trump's campaign to become an autocrat like those he admires. He has shown he can control the government, and parts of the Judiciary including SCOTUS, and has been given allowance to make illegal moves as he has been given carte blanche to do so without liability by SCOTUS. Anything he does is now "official business" and is exempt from legal consequences. Bizarrely, he could be a traitor and that would be OK. His recent edict that all government employees must adhere to what he says is the same as Hitler's forcing the Judiciary to ignore German law and rule based on what he said. Is he trying to install himself as dictator in record time?
That's a reasonable list of steps to take, but far too many are completely outside our control. To the contrary, they're entirely within the control of the party of treason.

Projection and gaslighting do have their effects. There's a reason NPD sufferers like Donnie the Clown like them so much.
