Things that went whizzing by that I want to remember... I have a difficult time figuring out what to do with the NeverTrumpers. They are, most of the time, talking sense—now. But they were all enthusiastic boosters of all of the Littler Trumps who led up to this moment, from Sarah Palin to George W. Bush in a flightsuit proclaiming “Mission Accomplished” to the “why doesn’t anybody ever talk about Black-on-Black crime?”.If one is going to have a conversion on the road to Damascus and then have the, as it were,
Regarding the video on "Principle of Least Action". As a physicist, she knows full well that light has a dual nature - it can be thought of as a particle or a wave. Refraction is computed as a wave. The is no photon particle "choosing a path" to your eye, but rather the only path it can take to be perceived. All the other paths are not perceived. Similarly, with gravity lenses bending light, the photons take many paths, but just certain ones follow the particular curvature of space to meet the detector (your eye, a telescope, etc.). Yes, physics is a model, although the math models have been remarkably good at describing physical phenomena, unlike say, economics. But the analogies chosen for the video are very poor and arguably inappropriate, misleading the viewer.
AFAIAC, the Never-Trumpers are mostly welcome as auxillaries in the fight against fascism. I don't want them anywhere near policy though.
Also, I'd probably distinguish between them. For example, Jennifer Rubin and Max Boot seem to have had sincere conversions. Others will have to do a lot more to demonstrate their bona fides.
