The Lindsey essay was delightful, but missed the point on Ayn Rand. Randoids mostly have one thing in common: virginity.

And - I decided it was time I understood what was going on with the baker's daughter:

"As the legend goes, Christ begged hospitality of a baker's wife, who would have given it, but was prevented from doing this act of charity towards the seeming beggar by her daughter, who was, in consequence, changed into an owl."

(That's nasty-Christ. Probably was someone else before it became nasty-Christ. Though anyone can have a bad day. Anyway, Ophelia somehow always has her wits about her, oddly enough. Less confused than Hamlet, perhaps.)

Klein: A confusing headline and the body misses the proper critique. The Fed should not be in the business of predicting its own future actions. As for the future, "We will do what seems necessary and prudent to return inflation to the target rate without creating unemployment."
