We are gaining in people who consider it urgent, but its probably still only at the one percent level. Most are more worried about possible inconvenience from shifting modalities than from climate change itself. Buying another gas car, because they are worried about whether they can get an EV charged, and so on. Now necessary political/regulatory steps, like setting a date for no new ICE cars, and no gas hookups for new construction are getting mixed into the left/right political battles.

You've been paying attention?

Less temperature differential in the Arctic means less energetic thus lower frequency thus geographically much larger Rossby Waves so the Arctic winter exports its months of darkness in the form of cold.

Which is a long way to say "no more temperate zone, just Tropic and Not-Tropic." It's going to be too hot to live in the tropics and too unpredictable to farm in the not-tropics. I could wish there was a greater sense of urgency about this in public policy.
