BRIEFLY NOTED: For 2022-02-28 Tu: This may well be wrong: my guess is that there is a 1/4 chance I will delete this tomorrow. But full annexation of Ukraine (and Belarus) was on the menu. Moreover, somebodies thought it would be all over by now—that this would have followed the Czechoslovakia-in-1939 playbook, and that it would've been largely a parade of tank columns into and through Ukraine, while NATO dithered, and the Ukrainian government fled into exile. And then nobody dared to say "this is not going according to plan” and pulled it back before publication. But who was the intended audience for this? And whose thinking does this represent? Are these people attempting to anticipate the Führer, as the saying goes—figure out today what his desires tomorrow will be, or at least what will flatter him when he sees how you are trying to anticipate his desires?
